Eternity of Ages
Found with the ancient texts were two rings. As we placed them on our fingers we could each sense the other’s thoughts.
The power of the rings guided us through space and time to the land of a strange people.
From an empty castle we saw them, the ones the texts spoke of – Avamanyar, the Avari –
those who had refused the summons to Valinor in ages past.
To avoid some great threat, they desperately board their ships to escape to the West.
But I fear it is too late for them and that they will all be lost.
Without my knowledge, my partner, the woman I love, has met with the Avari and now lives amongst them.
And she has betrayed me.
Cry Forevermore
Sailing on the crest of a wave through an endless time
By a distant light go the people who search for their paradise

There has to be a reason for turning me away

She is close to the Avari leader. He also wears a ring on his finger – not one of the great rings that were destroyed long ago, yet not unlike them –
and with it he has an evil influence over her. He lies to her, and urges her to join the Avari on their voyage.
I sense her fear and doubt as I beg her not to leave, for she is human and Valinor cannot be her fate.

The last ship sails at daybreak and I agonize over what I should do.
Should I attempt to save the remaining Avari by persuading them to abandon their quest or should I save myself?
And the threat of global war is ever present. At last, I go down to them.

I’ve had a vision of things to come, things I do not understand.
The Avari leader insists that sailing into the West is the only way to avoid the coming war
and he refuses my guidance. He wears a ring on his finger –
not one of the great rings that were destroyed long ago, yet not unlike them.
I look to the heavens and pray for an answer.
b. Visions
What is this I have seen in my mind?
Visions of fire and rings down the line

d. For You If You Want It
I sense that she is withholding some great secret from me as I plead with the remaining Avari to trust me and not undertake this journey.
For with their help I believe we can yet escape. But the ring worn by the leader is evil and has a hold on him.
He threatens to set a curse on me if I do not depart their company.
e. Let Me Be Part Of You
Walk in darkness, live your mind’s will. He is asking you to leave
To seek the Eldar, you are blind still and you’ll not be well received
Don’t believe him or his deception. The time has come when you decide

I have discovered that which she keeps from me. I am thrilled at the news yet terrified of losing her
for the Avari leader with his ring has a great influence over her and I fear she is no longer mine.
f. The Havens
Ship’s in the havens lookin’ out to the sea
Where they’ll be goin’ is a mystery to me
It is what they believe. They have all been deceived
I see my lady and I think to myself
She’s with a fellow, looks more than half like an elf
She carries my child yet she is defiled. I am dismayed!
He steals her away. The ship sails today. We are betrayed!
We cannot go that way but we don’t have to stay
I will try to convey what I know of this day
She is lost to me and the Avari have been left behind, but perhaps they will now listen.
g. Time Traveler
You were unwilling to forsake this land you wandered in
But now the time has come, awaken from your slumbering
Yet the only way is gone!
I am no prophet, but a traveler through eternity
My ship lies stolen in a government facility
And it’s locked inside the hold!
Now I will choose to do what’s right
A new day’s hope is born of darkest night
There’s another way!
I’m just a man who wants to get back home
And none of us can make it on our own
But there’s a chance if we unite!
Strange things are happening since the ship left. The foliage surrounding us has begun to grow at an alarming rate and threatens to swallow us.
It is a parting shot from the Avari leader and we must flee immediately! The spell he holds over my love is destroying her and I sense her sorrow.
What is he urging her to do?
h. The Swamp
You can’t escape the evil things you’ve done
You may feel safe for now but you’re wrong
So I will leave you to your destiny
There may come a time when you are free
With the leader departed, his influence over the Avari has diminished and they are finally willing to consider my desperate plan.
i. Follow Me
If you care to follow me, you’ve nowhere else to go
To a far-off land you’ll see, a place only I would know
It is tight security, but their numbers have gotten low
We’ll commit high robbery and escape from the world below

With the swamp behind us, we begin the desperate search to locate and recapture my ship while I hear the enemy’s voice in my mind taunting me.
j. The Journey
So you think you can lead them away but you don’t know where you’re goin’!
If you think you can fly them away then you’ve got another thing comin’!
Ulmo, King of the Sea, comes to me in a dream and reveals how we can regain my craft and leave this planet.
I ask him if my partner is safe, but he looks to the west and fades away as I fall back into sleep…
k. Lord Of Waters
I had a dream today of a man by the waterside
He said don’t be afraid, for he was sent to be our guide
Our destination waits – he knows how to get inside
Once a covert matter declassified
We cannot hesitate, the world is about to end
When the missiles detonate we must be ready to ascend
We’ll seek the water-world, you were looking for it all the time
And we’ve got no time for enemies, we’ve got no time for friends
An apocalyptic calamity
We remain hidden as the compound that holds my ship lies before us. All is quiet as we approach it cautiously.
l. Stealth
Prepared to fight, we gain access to the fortress and work to secure it.
m. Breaking In
The fort is vacant, its occupants drawn out to fight the great battle. We have found my ship and begin to prepare our exodus from this time and place.
n. The Fortress
They’ve abandoned this old fortress

As we seek restoration, I cannot free my mind of thoughts of her.
